4 pounds

At the beginning of the month we started a month-long exercise program. I do a cardio tape 5x a week. We walk a mile with the kids every weekday when John gets home from work. I gave up pop (even diet). I drink twice as much water as I used to.

I weighed myself today and I've lost 4 pounds. 4 pounds doesn't sound like very much. Its not enough to even tell - my clothes fit the same. Maybe I didn't even really lose 4 pounds. Maybe I weighed myself at a different time of day than last week. Maybe I was retaining water or something last time.

I've got a shirt hanging up in our bedroom that I bought last year and haven't ever been able wear because its too small. That really makes me mad, so I look at it and it reminds me that I need to get things under control. When I finally get to my goal of wearing that shirt (my plan is the end of the month....), I've got several more (even smaller!) unworn shirts where that one came from!

  1. That's AWESOME!! I hate those too-small but used to fit shirts in my closet... And CONGRATULATIONS on the pop! That is soooo hard... You're an inspiration!!! Maybe I can do it too! =)
