We went to Stuffys restaurant for my birthday yesterday and I ate what felt like an obscene amount of food - really, though, I can't eat that much because my stomach is squished, but it felt like a lot. I then made myself even full-er by eating some delicious GOB (like an elephant ear with maple frosting, but no cinnamon/sugar on the outside). I was so full I couldn't even eat my cake when we got back to the house (a tragedy, because I do love bakery cakes - white with white frosting, delicious).
My favorite thing was that I got a new digital rice cooker from John & the girls. We used to have one but it finally broke a few years ago and I never replaced it. This is a slightly bigger model (makes 16 cups of rice!), which will come in handy if I ever have to feed a small country or something. I love digital rice cookers because the rice always turns out perfect. If I try to make rice on the stovetop or in the microwave it is always a horrible, horrible disaster, so we're going to be eating plenty of rice now!
It was a fun day! Another year older (and by older I mean the exact same age)....
